Storm is a travel softball program located in Woodstock, IL. Tryouts are held in July. We begin play at the end of August through October. Then we head inside for indoor practices. We head back outside in April to play tournaments in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. All home games and practices are held at Bates Park in Woodstock, IL.
Our mission is to improve our players abilities in all aspects, while also teaching sportsmanship and respect for the game.
10U Information:
Storm is a part time program at the 10U level. 10U players must be registered in the regular WGSL Spring/Summer league. Try-outs are in late July/early August and practices run through the winter. Team will play 1 Fall tournament, 3-4 Spring tournaments and some scrimmages during the week starting in April.
10U fee for Storm is $300. This includes a jersey, socks, umpire costs, field prep fees and tournament fees. 10U Storm team fees are in additional to regular season fees. In addition, all 10U players are required to participate in two fundraisers throughout the season. Funds from these fundraisers cover costs for additional jerseys, pants, belts, equipment bags, helmets, winter practice facility, additional tournament fees, etc.
12U Information:
12U Storm is a full time C level travel team. Try-outs are in late July/early August and practices run through the winter. They will participate in the NSFPL (12-20 weekday games). The 12U team will play 1-2 Fall tournaments and 6-9 Spring/Summer tournaments with the possibility of one overnight tournament.
12U fee for Storm is $1,000. This includes jersey, pants, socks, umpire costs, indoor facility fees and tournament fees. In addition, all 12U players are required to participate in two fundraisers throughout the season. Funds from these fundraisers cover costs for additional jerseys, pants, belts, equipment bags, helmets, winter practice facility, additional tournament fees, etc.
14U and 16U Information:
14U and 16U SubZero is a full time B level travel team. Try-outs are in late July/early August and practices run through the winter. Teams will play fall tournaments and Spring/Summer tournaments with the possibility of one overnight tournament. Fees for SubZero is $1,600. This includes jerseys, pants, socks, umpire costs, indoor facility fees and tournament fees. In addition, all players are required to participate in fundraisers throughout the season. Funds from these fundraisers cover costs for additional jerseys, pants, belts, equipment bags, helmets, winter practice facility, additional tournament fees, etc.
